Majolica Cabinet Plate with Reddish Purple Grapes ~ KELLER & GUERIN - ERNEST BUSSIERE (Nancy, France) - ca. 1890s - 1930s

This is a very nice majolica cabinet plate that would look wonderful hanging in the kitchen. The design is a fruit motif using two bunches of reddish purple grapes. Each grape is outlined in a lighter shade giving definition to each grape. They are hanging from variegated green stems and are intermingled with green leaves. The fruit is placed on a dark green background that graduates to a lighter green color as it flows over the plate. IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE MAJOLICA IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.

PLEASE CHECK OUT OUR STORE FOR THE COMPANION PLATES!!!! TWO PLATES WOULD LOOK BEAUTIFUL IN A FRAME!
