Beautiful Limoges Porcelain Plate Hand Painted with Pink/White Wild Roses – Plainemaison Freres Limoges -1890 to 1910

: The unknown artist has definitely made this piece of porcelain his canvas. He has shown the softness of the rose petals but also the harshness of the thorns bringing each to life on this plate. The plate has a gold rim edge that cradle the beautiful design nestled on its front. He has used use a soft ivory color for the center of the plate and a sea foam green for the rim. The artist has placed the spray of roses and rose buds in the lower center rim of the plate gradually letting them climb up the side with an additional bloom. He has chosen a soft pink blended with white for the rose color. The center of the roses has been painted with dark pink and yellow making the roses look like it is actually growing out of the plate. Plate is in excellent condition. This would make a wonderful gift for some one special!!
