Exquisite English Ridgways Plate with Green Transfer ~ “Tyrolean” Pattern ~ William Ridgway and Son 1838-1848

It’s hard to imagine that this plate could be 171 years old, it is absolutely beautiful! The background is a clean creamy white with a wonderful gloss still shinning away. The rim has a slightly scalloped edge with wonderful raised relief design that is so intricately done, it is phenomenal. The outer rim has a green painted on the raised relief scroll work. The plates well has a green transfer of trees, people, deer and buildings which completes this piece! There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
