Unique French Faience Cabinet Plate / Plaque ~ Ships on Water ~ Keller & Guerin ~ Luneville France 1890-1914

Absolutely beautiful wall plate! Keller & Guerin has depicted a large boat with sails and several small vessels in the distance in a deep blue shadowy color. He has used a slightly lighter shade to represent the shadow of the boat on the water. They have painted the rest of the background of the water and sky in various colors of blue giving this piece a three dimensional look almost has if the moon is the only light in the dark cold night. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
