Wonderful Limoges Porcelain Cabinet Plate ~ Hand Painted with Purple Daisies ~ Artist Initialed & dated– JPL (Jean Pouyat, Limoges France) 1899

This is a very nice cabinet plate with slightly scalloped edging. The artist has painted the half of the background in a deep forest green color and changed to a lighter green next to the floral motif. He has painted beautiful and bold purple daisy like flowers with golden centers on the curved edge of the dark green. The light green of the leaves balances out the color scheme very nicely. The artists initials ‘U.A.R’ and year ‘09’ are painted on the back of this plate. This piece is in excellent condition and would be a beautiful addition to a collection or better yet a start of one!!
