T. Luc has painted this plate with fruit growing on branches. I'm not sure what kind of fruit he has painted one looks like it could be apples. He has used various shades of colors to make the fruit appear to be ripening. He has also place a green piece of fruit on and extended branch. It looks like he has even painted dew drops or rain drops on the fruit in several places and has accented it with yellow raised enamel. He has added deep gray brown branches and green and green gray leaves giving it a very realistic feel. He has completed these pieces by adding a nice golden rim. His signature `Luc' is on the front of both pieces. This is one of his early pieces of work and the signature is slightly different than you will find on his later pieces of work. You will be able to find the same signature on page 404 of Mary Gaston's 'Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain', 3rd Edition. We have not been able to find any reference to the decorating Factory mark NMI Co. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
These would look wonderful in your kitchen grouped with our larger T. Luc Peach Plate item # PLT281 and our smaller fruit plates # PLT438.
