Wonderful Old Majolica Cabinet Plate Decorated with Cobalt Blue Plums ~ (U & C.S.) UTZCHNEIDER & CO Sarreguemines 1865-1891

The colors on this slightly scalloped plate literally pop! The plums are a vibrant cobalt blue and are nestled within bright green brown tipped leaves attached to brown stems. The branches with fruit are on a brilliant white background. The green and brown colors of the leaves are bleeding into the white giving this piece a wonderful look! IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE MAJOLICA IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE. This would make a wonderful addition to any majolica collection.
