Exceptional 13 ¾" Limoges Porcelain Charger / Tray ~ Hand Painted with Purple African Violets ~ Artist Signed ~ Haviland France 1894-1931

If you are a violet lover this one is definitely for you!! The artist has started with using colors of green, baby blue, pale yellow and soft lavender in a sponge effect on the background. He has used a deep forest green for the background on one side of the charger so the beautiful violet plant appears to be growing up from it. He has made the flowers with multiple petals done in cream and violet colors giving them a full look. The artist has painted several green stems and has extended them up and around the charger ending them with the beautiful flowers. There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc
