This is a masterpiece done by a well known porcelain artist of the early 20th century. He has exhibited just how talented he is by painting beautiful soft pink and lilac colored poppies with soft green leaves for the motif of this gorgeous piece. It's like looking into a beautiful flower garden the colors are so vibrant and realistic. He has painted the poppies so they appear floating on a sea of fuchsia, deep sienna and golden butterscotch colors. The Artist has placed this masterpiece on an ornate scalloped charger and has applied an abundance of roman gold, finishing off this painting. Artist A. Bronsillion is a listed and featured French artist in many of the leading publications regarding collecting antique hand painted Limoges porcelain art. Other examples of his work can be found in, "Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain, First Edition," by Mary Frank Gaston, also in Debby DuBay's, "Living With Limoges,". There are a couple scratches over the flower if you look at it closely but at a distance they are not visible. There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc. Looks wonderful displayed in my house and I'm sure it would look great in yours!!!
