This is definitely a "ONE OF A KIND" game set. On the platter he has painted a beautiful marshland scene with grebes sitting on the edge of a quiet sandy beach. Small water plants are emerging from the light blue water and green trees have been painted in a muted effect on each side of the scene. In the background he has pained grey shadows of trees in almost a vellum effect. He has included a duck flying in the background. You can see each and every brush stroke as he diligently work towards perfection. The master plate that goes with the set has a very similar grebe scene. He has painted two plates with sandpiper's sitting on a sand bank. Out in the distance are sail boats on the horizon. He has also included a flying bird on these two plates. He chose two woodland birds on one plate; there is no water visible in the scene on this plate. He has painted hills with the gray trees and meadows and the usual flying bird. On a second woodland plate he has chosen to paint partridges, with three flying birds and the awesome trees in the background. On the last plate the artist has combined the woodland and marshland terrine with what appear to be snipe birds. The scene depicts a stream coming through trees with the flying birds and birds on the ground. This plate has two small flakes on the side, not noticeable unless you know they are present. He has accented the platter and plates with raised white enamel giving the scenes a three dimensional look. He has placed these exquisite masterpieces on beautiful rococo rimmed blanks and decorated them with coin gold done in a sponge effect which completes the pieces as expected. The underside of the platters base on the inside rim of the raised base there is one flake of porcelain that has come off. Not visible but present. This set is definitely not for use and deserves to be shown for the beauty that it displays.There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc..
