This is a very well painted and very realistic depiction of plums before they have been picked. The artist has used multiple hues of purples, greens and amber to illustrate the ripening of the fruit. He has accompanied the front with leaves and branches painted in natural shades of greens and browns. He has placed the main grouping of fruit on one edge of the plate and has extended a branch up each side with leaves and plums. The background has a soft turquoise hue around the edges, an amber honey color around the main grouping and a creamy white center. Gold gilding accents the rim of this plate. Plate is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing.
