Attractive Limoges Porcelain Cabinet Plate ~ Decorated with Blue Bachelor Buttons Flowers ~ Mavaleix Limoges 1908-1914
The artist has chosen a round china mold and has added gold to the rim. He has painted beautiful bachelor buttons in mixed colors of white, purple & blue on long green stems and has incorporated long green leaves with them. His floral design flows around the inner rim of the plate with leaves and flowers wondering into the center as if the wind was gently blowing them. He has placed the flowers on a green & yellow background that gently flows into a wonderful blue color. The background colors compliment the flowers and the leaves. The There are no chips, hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
