Awesome 7 5/8" German Majolica Turquoise Plate ~ Decorated with Birds, Grapes & Vines ~ Made in Western Germany 1920's

The plate depicts a beautiful light turquoise background with embossed patterns of birds, grapes and leaves. It has 2 beautiful birds eating grapes off the vines of fall colored leaves. The rim of the plate has embossed designs that look like icing on a cake! There are no chips or cracks and the glaze looks great!IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE MAJOLICA IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE. This would make a wonderful addition to any majolica collection.
