Wonderful French Faience ~ The Villagers Set ~ #10 The Harvester ~ Creil and Montereau, Barluet and Co. 1876-1884

This old beauty has a deep green rim with white flowers spaced around and white diamond designs. The center of the plate has the transfer of two people sitting on a hay stack and the harvester sharpening his scythe. This plate is from the Villagers Series and is #10 The Harvester. IT IS RARE TO FIND ANTIQUE FAIENCE IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
