Japanese Woodblock Print; Hiroshige. Titled “View of Uygno Temple in Tokyo” By Hiroshige (1818-1858 working dates)

Hiroshige woodblock print depicting 3 females gathering at Uygno Temple dressed in traditional clothing. This large size work is much sought after by collectors of Hiroshige. The colors are bright and well archived in a matted frame. Stamps and seal on print in upper-right. Hiroshige (b.1797-1858). Please see pictures for conditions.

This print came from the estate of an oil company heiress from Oklahoma. We aquired the piece from the estate caretaker at public auction.

Utagawa Hiroshige known for printmaking in the Japanese ukiyo-e style. Considered by most collectors to be one of the greatest artists in that tradition. Hiroshige's works are in great demand and much sought after in this condition.
