Wonderful Oil on Canvas of a Maritime / Nautical / Sea Shore Impressionist Landscape with Boats ~ White Frame ~ Artist Signed and dated '42

Like they always say about fine art, "buy what you like". We love this work and it makes me feel good to look at the scene, colors and style. This painting shows thickly textured brush strokes, which have combined bold bright colors to create this wonderful scene. The artist has painted a boat dock along one side of a shore with several boats around it. One larger boat is pulled slightly up on the bank. Across the open water in the distance are homes and buildings with trees mingled in between. A beautiful bluish sky with white clouds completes this piece wonderfully. It is amazing to look at this piece, up close you can tell what the artist has painted but the textured strokes distort the true picture, but step back a few feet and it all blends into a wonderful landscape scene. The artist has signed this piece but it is not legible, It appears to be maybe Bart or Barb Torsliosk and it is dated '42. It has been placed in a nice grayish, white frame. When examined closely you can see that the paint is cracked due to aging but otherwise the colors are still nice and bright!
