Wonderful Majolica Plate ~ Decorated with Cobalt Blue Fan Design & Flowers

This is truly a beauty! Half of the plate has a beautiful fan design. The side and base of the fan is a bright cobalt blue and has a golden rope hanging from the handle. The open fan has a white ridged background with pink and blue flower with green foliage interspersed. The lower portion of this plate has a weaved type design with dark brown branches, pink flower and green leaves. It also has a Greek key design done in a deep brown color on one side of this piece. A brown rim completes this piece nicely. There is some wear to the higher portions of the raised relief but it blends in nicely with the color scheme. IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE Majolica IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
