Nice English Shaving Mug ~ Blue Peonies Flowers ~ W.H. GRINDLEY & CO., Ltd. (Staffordshire, UK) - ca 1891 - 1914

This is your good old fashion shaving mug, that I’m sure was used for many many shaves! Raised relief is along the small base and upper edge of the rim. The handle has ornate designs giving the cup a wonderful look. Blue flowers that have gold accents have been placed on a white background. . IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE & ANTIQUES MAJOLICA IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.

Backstamp: Mark is very light but is Globe with manner.

Measures: 3 1/3" H x 4 3/4" W
