This lamp is hand blown & hand painted antique French glass. It has been hand painted with a French village scene with great quality and depth. The artist has used deep rich colors of greens, brown, reds and blues. He has added two people walking along a dirt road through the village. Buildings in the background have been created in a stencil outlined effect. The sky has deep blue striations giving it a very unique look. The lamp has a bronze lined insert that holds a oil font and lamp works. The oil lamp has two flat wicks close in proximity to maximize the light output. It is said "Two wicks are three times better than one, but three wicks are not as good as two." The lamp has an extinguisher lever and two controls marked P A Duplex. The beautiful piece of artwork is mounted onto an ornate bronze footing that is decorated with raised roses and flowers. This design is also on the oil lp collar. This piece is in excellent condition with only two minor flakes on the painted surface.
