Exquisite 7 3/4" Austrian Bon Bon Jar / Dresser Box ~ Artist Signed & Dated ~ Hand Painted with White Enamel Flowers ~ OE&G Royal Austria ~Oscar and Edgar Gutherz, Austria 1899-1918

This is such a beautiful piece and so well decorated. The artist has used a baby blue mixed with cream background that almost has a sponge effect on the top of the lid. He has applied small white raised enamel flowers with gold centers on the edge of the lid. He has added golden scrolling design amongst the flowers, giving it that rich feel. The artist has painted several small green leaves on stems in a few places on the design giving it that added touch of beauty. The rim of the lid and the base been painted with gold. The inside of the piece has a pearl iridescent look, making this just a wonderful piece of art. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc
