Are you ready to take the plunge on this one? Finding this many pieces of an original artist signed chocolate set still in excellent condition after all these years is extraordinary. Artist "Beth" has used the china molds of Haviland & Rosenthal, two of the finest porcelain manufacturers when creating this masterpiece. The main background of the pieces is creamy light beige. She has painted a design of colorful Japanese umbrellas interspersed with black triangles and magenta accents. She has painted an immense amount of coin gold around the outer edge of the design, and handles. She has applied the same design to all the pieces except the sugar and creamer. On these two pieces she has painted two women sitting on the floor facing each other. One has on a blue and white kimono and the other has a green and white one. They are looking at something one woman is holding. A window with flowers in a vase has been painted in the background. The artist has painted the walls in the scene with coin gold and the floor soft beige. These two colors wraps around both the pieces. The gold is also painted on the handles and the finial of this pair. The creamer has a black base and upper rim. The sugars base rim and the lid are painted in black. The artist `Beth' has signed all the pieces. The plates have the Haviland back stamp, the tray has an impressed CH possibly (Charles Haviland), cups and chocolate pot is Rosenthal. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
