This is a delightful piece and very well done by an amateur china painter. They have painted the lower portion of the bulbous body a soft cream and the upper a baby blue. The artist has added small blue flowers and green leaves on veins around the center separating the two colors of the background. The upper portion of the shaker is blue. The neck and the top are adorned with gold. The top has raised relief designs giving it a nice rich look. The artist has initialed and dated this piece AP 1918. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
Backstamp: AP 1918
Measures: 5 3/4" H x 4" W
