This interesting pattern always combines a fan with a small insect, crane and a scroll bearing an impressed clipper ship. The dish has a turquoise pebbled ground with all the mentioned in wonderful raised relief. Pink and yellow branches of Prunus flowers surround the fan and scroll design. The handles are a deep brown mottled with green giving it a twig look. This pattern can be seen on PG 198 IN Warman's Majolica by Mark Moran. Condition is excellent with minimal wear and crazing! I have included a picture of the platter & teapot that makes this a remarkable set!!! IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE MAJOLICA IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
