Delightful Limoges Porcelain Dresser or Powder Jar with Matching Vase – Hand Painted with Beautiful Daisy Flowers – Signed by “ Mehle” – GDA Limoges 1900-1941

This is a lovely Limoges dresser or powder jar and matching vase that would make a wonderful accent for anyone's dresser or bathroom. This footed powder jar is hand painted with pretty white daisy like flowers that have a bright yellow center and deep green foliage. The artist has painted the flowers over a soft smoky blue background that gradually turns a creamy color as it ascends away from the flowers. The feet, finial and rim of the jar are decorated with rich gold gilding. The powder jar is signed on the lid by the artist, "Mehle". The vase is decorated with the same floral motif and has gold gilding applied around the mouth. The vase is also signed by "Mehle". The powder jar has a hair line crack on the bottom, please see picture. We have adjusted the price accordingly. The vase is in excellent condition.

Backstamp: (GDA Limoges) Gerard, Dufraisseix, and Abbot under glaze white ware mark in green, circa 1900-1941.

Jar measures 5" W x 4 1/2" H to the top of the finial. Vase measures 5"H x 3 ¾
