Remarkable Limoges Porcelain Framed Plaque 14''H x 7 1/2"W ~ Hand Painted Beautiful Woman in flowing gowns ~ Artist Signed~ Tressemann & Vogt 1892-1907

This is by far the most beautiful piece I've seen in a long time! Limoges wall plaques are very rare and hard to find. This one is truly amazing! The artist has painted a lovely woman in a beautiful teal green gown with a white undergarment and hood. He has added buttons to the gown and has painted the folds in the gown with great perfection and depth. The facial features on the woman are wonderful and masterfully done. He has given her golden earrings and bracelets on each wrist. She is holding up a basket of possibly the morning catch for a blessing or offering. The artist has placed his beauty on the stream bank with a bridge and buildings in the background. The artist has initialed this masterpiece with "GTF" in the lower corner. The plaque is in a very old frame that has had a gold finish applied to the front and sides. The back of the frame is unpainted and you can see the true age of the wood. An old label from the frame shop "Evertt Art Shop from Evertt MA" is still on the back of the frame. This piece is in remarkable conditions with no chips, cracks or flaws of any kind.
