This pair is beautifully hand painted with an array of colors! They have been decorated by Moritz Zdekauer, one of the premier Austrian porcelain factories of that time. The talented studio artist has used a soft yellow background for the lower portion and a violet for the upper portion of these pieces. On the sides he has placed a single bouquet of violet flowers and surrounded it by soft green and golden leaves and shadowy flowers. The top of the sugar has the same wonderful violet and yellowy cream background with violet flowers and leaves. He has accented this piece with roman coin gold on the top and handles. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc. This set would definitely get notice and would look beautiful in your home.
