Rare Pitkin & Brooks Decorated ~ Limoges Porcelain Crumb Tray ~ Hand Painted with White Flowers ~ Tressemann & Vogt ( T & V ) 1892-1907

Wow!! This piece is truly one of a kind, I've search high and low for other Limoges Crumb Trays and they appear to be hard to come by. This little beauty was decorated by the renowned Pitkin & Brooks Studio which makes it even more in demand. The studio artist has used a wonderful violet color on the edges and handle and then blended it gracefully into to a white center. He has painted white violets with yellow centers on wispy green stems along with heart shaped green leaves. He has place the flora on the deeper violet color along the sides. He has also painted a gold rim giving it just that little extra. This piece has a rough corner on one edge, I'm not sure if it is a factory defect or if at one time it was chipped and then repaired. There is also a small chip on the underside at the corner. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.

This would make a wonderful gift for some one special!!
