AWESOME Austrian Porcelain Candlesticks and Dresser Box Set~ Hand Painted with Vibrant Purple Violets ~ Artist Initialed ~ OE &G Oscar and Edgar Gutherz, Altrohlau, Austria 1899-1918

The artist `JSC' has done a masterful job in painting these pieces. On the base of each candlestick he has painted beautiful deep purple violet flowers amongst soft velvety leaves. He has made it appear as if they were growing up and around the base by extending a few stems with flowers and buds up the sides of the candlestick. He has placed this wonderful rendition of violets on a soft green background and has finished them off with a golden upper ring on the rim. The dresser box has the same violet motif on the lid and is surrounded with a wide band of gold. A soft violet color has been applied to the base of the box. The artist has initialed each candle stick and has hidden his initials in the leaves on the box. There are no chips or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.

This would make a beautiful gift set for that special person!!
