Nice Old English Two Handled Dish ~ Decorated with Yellow Flowers ~ "The Meaford" Pattern ~ RIDGWAYS (Staffordshire, UK) - ca 1912 - 1920
This old girl is simply charming. It has two handles that have raised relief designs that have been accented with yellow paint. The rim is outlined in black and an inner band of black geometric designs with white water lilies in yellow cartouches are around the upper portion of the dish. Yellow water lily like flowers and a yellow flowered bush accent the center. The sides have ridges giving this piece a very unique look. There is a small hairline crack on the rim. IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE Pieces IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IF PRESENT IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
