(4) Very Nice Semi-Porcelain Side Dishes –Green Flowers “Windermere” Pattern~ Alfred Meakin – England 1891

These beautiful bone dishes are in the WINDERMERE pattern by ALFRED MEAKIN of England. They are decorated with graceful light green vine and flower transfer ware and highlighted in gold. The color, shape and decoration is so Victorian. They are grazed due to age but there are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc These little dishes are perfect to put a stick of butter on and place them around the table so your quest will have easy access to the butter!!!

Backstamp: crown/banner/Meakin This mark was on used one year 1891.
