Beautiful Covered Pancake Dish ~ Limoges Porcelain ~ Hand Painted with Pink Cherry Blossoms ~ Jean Pouyat Limoges France 1890-1932

Here is a beautiful antique Limoges, porcelain covered pancake dish. It is has been hand painted with white and pink cherry blossom clusters with green leaves and stems. Around the flowers is a soft pastel mixture filling in the background giving it a very soft muted look. The finial is in the shape of a crown and has been painted with gold. It has been enhanced with gold on the outside rim of both the cover and the bowl/dish. The cover has six perforations in the porcelain to allow steam to escape. Repairs have been made on the underside of the bowl rim and the inside of the rim on the lid, otherwise there are no chips, cracks. These repairs cannot be seen when looking at the piece. This is a very attractive piece to either use or display! This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
