Amazing Limoges Porcelain Candy Dish With Silver Overlay ~ Floral Design ~ Charles Martin Limoges France 1891 –Early 1900's

This is a beautiful little dish that could hold candy, jelly etc. It has a soft creamy white background that has been adorned with silver overlay. The softly scalloped rim has been covered with silver and a silver design of vines, leaves and buds decorate the outside of the rim. One side has a large silver medallion resembling a flower. The upturned, forked, handles are in silver and give the piece a very unique look. The base has a wide silver band on it. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
