Wonderful Hand Painted Nippon Berry Strainer / Drainer Decorated with Purple & White Flowers and Gold Moriage ~ Morimura Brothers 1911-1921

This is a very nice old berry bowl decorated in the wonderful style of Nippon. Beautiful white flowers with purple and yellow centers are placed around the upper inside rim. Gold moriage decorations of leaves and swirls have been placed in between the floral clusters. On the center of the bowl holes have been drilled to allow the berries to drain. A raised gold design has been added to the center tying it in nicely to the side decorations. The dish has three feet that have been accented with gold and a nice gold scalloped rim with beading. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
