WOW these are GORGEOUS! I've seen this pattern called "Branch Blossom" but the branches have pine cones not blossoms so I'm not sure if the pattern name is correct. The pieces all start with a brilliant white background. The rims of the cups and saucers have been painted gold and gold accents have been applied to the ornate cup handles. The pattern features a dramatic swath of dark cobalt blue floral patterns overlaid on blue branches with pine needles and cones. There are no hairlines or cracks; manufacturing anomalies do exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.

Bailey Banks & Biddle has been the Philadelphia equivalent to Tiffany by providing high quality jewelry, watches, silver, porcelain and stationary to the Philadelphia elite and government dignitaries. It traces its lineage to the founding of Bailey and Kitchen in 1832. This Philadelphia powerhouse was fully formed in 1878 when Bailey was joined by Banks, from J.E. Caldwell, and Biddle of Robbins, Clark & Biddle.
