These hard to find cups are fantastic! The cups sit nicely in a regal style on ¾" pedestal base. They have a creamy white background that has floral and vine decorations in a cobalt blue. The blue flows nicely into the creamy background. The darker leaves have been outlined in a fine gold making the decorations really pop. A gold band around the footed base, gold scalloped rim and gold accented handles make these irresistible. There are not cracks or chips on either one of these cups. IT IS RARE TO FIND ANTIQUE EARTHENWARE IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.

In 1879 Burgess and Campbell purchased the Lincoln Pottery from Clark & Clark and renamed it to International Pottery Company. After purchasing the pottery, Burgess and Campbell reportedly switched from manufacturing Rockingham and yellow ware to white granite and semi-porcelain hotel wares and tableware.

Note: there is staining inside. This is common on due to the complex design and thin glaze.
