Cheerful Austrian Porcelain Cup and Saucer Set ~ Hand Painted with Yellow Daffodils ~ OEG Oscar & edger Gutherz Austria 1899-1916

Nice cheery set to brighten up the room. Beautiful golden daffodils have been accented with rich brown and white giving them depth. Variegated long green leaves have been inter mingled with the flowers. Soft pastel colors are used for the background around the floral motif. The flowers have been placed on the saucer and the inside of the cup giving it a wonderful look of display. The artist has selected a nicely scalloped saucer and a slightly fluted cup that sits on a raised scalloped base. The outside of the cup is a soft white with raised gold beading making a decorated ring around the widest part. This gold beading has also been placed on the saucer and follows the rim design. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
