Exquisite Large Limoges Porcelain Serving Bowl ~ Hand Painted with Pink & Purple Sweet Peas ~ Blakeman & Henderson (B&H) Limoges France Early 1900's

This is a beautiful shaped bowl with scalloped gold trimmed rim and gold ring on the lower outside rim. The artist has painted beautiful pink, white and purple sweet pea like flowers on vines encircling the inside of the bowl. The leaves on the vines are various colors of green giving a nice contrasting look to the flowers. The artist has outline and accented the flora with small intricate gold strokes. You can see this pattern in Mary Gaston's reference book: 'Collector's Encyclopedia of Limoges Porcelain' 3rd edition on page 66. The Limoges artist DUS has signed the front of this piece. This piece is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Manufacturing anomalies may exist, the occasional tiny iron speck, dust 'bump' in the glaze, etc.
