This is the very unique and beautiful "Oceana'' pattern in brown transfer with two cartouches containing nautical scenes. At the top of the bowl, overhanging the center and part of the border is a very large crab. At the bottom of the bowl, in part of the border and extending into the center is a large coral or seaweed and coral motif. Other pieces of this dinnerware pattern have various different ships in one or two round cartouches. IT IS RARE TO FIND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUE IRONSTONE OR EARTHENWARE IN "LIKE NEW" CONDITION BECAUSE OF WEAR FROM USE AND AGE. TINY GLAZE FLAKES AND CRAZING IS NORMAL AND ADDS CHARACTER TO EACH PIECE.
