Interesting Chinese Rosewood Two Piece Inro Box with Bone Inlay and Chinese Characters

Nice little box that would make a nice accent piece. The box is made out of rosewood and has a fitted lid to the base connected with a small rope. Bone inlay has been placed on this piece. The top inlay has a Chinese woman carved into it. The other inlay has sayings as follows:

The first big word) 福 – happiness, good luck (The second big word at the other side) 寿 – longevity

福如东海 – May your happiness as immense as the Eastern Sea. 寿比南山 – May you live as long as the Southern Mountain. （The upper two sentences are always used together to flatter a senior person, especially at his/her birthday party.）

吉祥如意 – Good luck and happiness to you; be as lucky as desired! 四季招财 – Have good fortune for all four seasons （The upper two sentences are always used together for greeting, especially at Chinese New Year.）
