T&V Tressemanes & Vogt Limoges France Hand Painted Condiment ~ Mayonnaise Bowl & Attached Underplate 1892~ 1917
This is really a beautiful little bowl. It is all hand painted and initialed on the back by the artist A M &G. This item is in the lovely art nouveau style and from that period. The colors are just stunning on this bowl, very bright and vivid. The bowl & under plate are attached. It has lovely multi colored bouquets on the inside, all brought together with green swags of foliage. On the underplate there is shading with multi color rococo design and white slip as flower petals. This is really and extraordinary piece that dates to very early 1900s.
The under plate measures 6" wide, the bowl is 2 1/2' deep and is 4 3/4" across the rim.
