A. R. Cole (Arther Ray Cole)1892-1974 lived and worked in Sanford, North Carolina. His family was one of the seven original families to start up pottery making in Seagrove, NC. This is a rare teapot made by him with his famous rutile glaze. The teapot is in excellent condition, free from cracks, chips, repairs, etc. The teapot is marked with the A R Cole Pottery, Sanford, N.C. in a circular form. It has a water spill lip and it's green & brown in color. This is a fine and beautiful piece of American folk art pottery from the great smokey mountains. It's perfect for any collection, or if you are beginning to collect folk art pottery.

The teapot holds, 28-30 ozs. liquid, it stands 4 1/2" high, it's 8 1/2" from spout to handle, the base is 3 1/2" wide and the top opening is 3 3/4" wide.

Feel free to contact me with any questions or for additional photos.

Thank you for stopping in. I do have other American folk art pottery in the shop as well.
