A stunning antique Bohemian art glass vase beautifully enameled with a detailed design of an exotic bird and tropical foliage.
The workmanship is exceedingly fine, the coloration is rich, the glass is textured with raised polychrome enamel.
The glass is a vibrant peacock blue, the narrow panels are rippled on the inside of the vase which changes the density of the color where the glass is thicker and creates a pattern of dark and light.
The elaborate enameled design features a lovely cockatiel perched on fern like foliage.
Other ferns are gilt, a flowering plant has large pink blooms with green and gilt foliage.
The workmanship is superb, although the piece is not signed I would confidently attribute the vase as Moser.
The vase is perfectly proportioned with a gradual increase in circumference that narrows and then flares out towards the rim.
The pontil is polished smooth and is only slightly concave, almost level with the rest of the bottom of the vase.
Measures 7" tall, 3" in diameter at the top and 2.5" at the base.
Condition is excellent, no damage and the slightest of wear of the gilt around the rim, some bubbles within the glass.
A fabulous art glass vase in exceptional condition.
