Mother of Pearl Quality Opera Glasses Orig Leather Case

The luminous mother of pearl covers the area around the eye pieces, the main body and the turn mechanism.

The rest is bright gold metal, most likely polished brass.

The condition is excellent, the pearl is mint, free from any loss or damage, the lenses are clean and clear, they extend and retract as they should.

The metal parts are clean and bright, no wear or discoloration.

They measure 4.25' across the bottom, 2.5" closed and extend to 3&5/8" fully open, the case is 4.75" across the top and taper to 4" at the bottom by just under 3" tall.

The leather case shows wear inside and out though they served the purpose of protecting and keeping the glasses clean.

They are not marked with a maker or logo though they are very fine quality, most likely made in France.

A beautiful, fully functional pair of opera glasses c1900.
