Antique 14k Victorian Hardstone Cameo Pin / Pendant

The layered stone is sardonyx, it is expertly carved with clean, crisp lines so that the raised figure is white and the background is the color of carnelian.

Set in a bezel with a fine twist of wire, the cameo has a plain yellow gold frame around it.

The piece has pin findings as well as a pendant loop that pivots up and is hidden when worn as a pin.

The setting is unmarked and tests 14k with acid, the pin stem is not gold.

Measures 1.5" by 1.25", total weight is 13.2 grams.

Excellent condition, no damage or visible wear, secure locking safety clasp that works in reverse.
