Beehive Turned Wooden Dough - Butter Bowl c. 1890s
Here's a wonderful early wooden bowl to add to your collection! The beehive turnings are clearly evident on the outside, while the interior turnings are quite worn from use. The bowl shows a lovely and mellow honey colored patina with a good dry surface.

With expected and age appropriate shrinkage, it's nicely out-of-round, measuring 9 1/2" x 8 1/2". It stands 1 3/4" to 2" high, depending on where you measure, with a defined foot and a 1/4" beveled rim.
Truly an exceptional example of early treen, and a fine addition to any collection of early country Americana.
