Antique None Such Mince Meat Pie Shaped Thermometer

Here's a wonderful antique thermometer advertising "None Such New England Mince Meat Like Mother Used to Make". It measures 9 1/2" in diameter and its heavy paper thermometer face (which is faded) simulates the top of a pie complete with vent slits.

The fine print reads "Merrell-Soule Co. Syracuse, N.Y." and "Standard Thermometer Peabody, Mass. U.S.A. Patented May 8, 1888". It has a tin body, the reverse has 3 tiny feet (1 of which is missing) and a hanging ring. The glass is cracked (but NOT loose) & the thermometer doesn't work, but still a great display piece for your country kitchen!
