c. 1890 Wooden Spice Nutmeg Grinder / Grater
Here's a wonderful treenware spice grinder from my personal collection. It's large, standing 6 7/8" H. x 2 1/2" bottom D. It has a "pestle" type cap which has a tin grater attached, with a corresponding grater piece in the grinder's body, and is in excellent and usable condition. It shows a nice old nut-brown patina and good wear. No cracks, 3 shallow (old) chips seen in photo 3.
