c 1920 Yellowware Pitcher with Ice Lip

This gorgeous old yellowware pitcher is a mellow butterscotch color with a molded "clapboard" design on its body that gives it a simple but strong primitive appeal. It stands 7 1/2" high x 4 3/4" bottom diameter x 6 1/2" top diameter (including spout). Condition is excellent with no chips or cracks, although it does have some small glaze pops typical for this type of pottery. It has an applied handle and an ice lip on the spout and is embossed on the bottom "MADE IN USA" within an acorn shaped outline. Clean and ready to use at table, or a marvelous display piece in your country cupboard!
