Here's a terrific little c. 1900 tin egg separator to use and display in your kitchen! It measures 4 1/2" high x 3 1/2" in diameter and advertises "The South Bend Malleable Range All-Ways Preferable". It's in great condition with just a minor amount of oxidation on its back which is very magnified by the camera.
Also included is "The All-ways Preferable Cook Book of The South Bend Malleable Range". This 96 page soft cover cook book has many recipes and also instructions on caring for your SB range. It was compiled by Miss Ada A. Hillier, Instructor of Domestic Science, South Bend Public Schools (Indiana). The book has a few page tears, nothing serious, and the cover is pulling away from its staples (but the cover is still attached). I love the cover art on this ...note that Father is reading the paper with a SB range ad, and there's a print of the factory hanging on the dining room wall!
