c 1900 Rolling Pin - Incised Decorated Handles

Turned from one piece of maple, this rolling pin has a rich, nut brown patina and nicely turned handles with incised line decoration. One handle has a small mushroom shaped knob from which the pin may be hung. The other handle never had a small knob, and the incised circular decoration continues to the end of the handle (seen in photo 3).

The pin measures 17 1/2" long (barrel alone is 11") x 3" in diameter. The circumference is 9". There's some minor discoloration in a couple of spots and a couple of small, shallow dents (see photo 6). The small knob has a minor rub at the edge and a small nick (photos 2 & 4).

This pin would be a grand addition to any collection, and of course with the holidays coming up, could be put to use rolling some pie crusts and cookie dough!
